Human Development Trust (HDT)
The Human Development Trust (HDT) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), registered in Tanzania. HDT was founded with the intention to partner with communities to develop interventions that improve health of poor families in Tanzania, including taking care of most vulnerable children. HDT partners with Marang primarily to assist it to support the members of the network to effectively deliver quality services to children affected and infected by HIV and AIDS in Botswana.HDT particularly brings in diverse expertise in areas such as medical and public health, analytical skills, research, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, website design and maintenance, leadership and management.

 

American International Health Alliance (AIHA)



Health Policy Initiative (HPI)
The goal of the Health Policy Initiative Policy (HPI) in Botswana is to strengthen the response to the HIV epidemic by creating an enabling policy environment to support the U.S. Ambassadors' HIV/AIDS Initiative. Building on the Policy Project's work, HPI supports the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through activities in the OVC, Care and Support and other/Policy analysis and systems strengthening program areas. Specifically, HPI provides technical assistance to Botswana's national NGO, Marang Child care Network Trust, to build capacity to deliver high quality services to OVC.

Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI)
REPSSI is a not-for-profit regional organization operating in 13 countries in East and Southern Africa that aims to contribute towards the psychosocial well-being of children affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty and conflict. REPSSI works in collaboration with strategic partner organizations through strengthening their technical capacity to respond the psychosocial care and support needs of children focusing on PSS. The partnership between Marang and REPSSI facilitates knowledge and development and mainstreaming of PSS in children programs through learning and sharing, joint monitoring and evaluation, documentation and research.

 

News Board

Marang has been able to train and support a total of 60 NGO/CBO/FBO from 15 districts across Botswana. It has made significant strides in the development of NGO/CBO/FBO capacities to provide skilled support to OVC through the following training and activities: organizational development (241 participants), day care management training (76 participants), advocacy (49 participants), community mobilization (reached 1692 stakeholders) alternative care training (133 participants) and PSS mainstreaming (49 participants).
